  • •2 tablespoons milk (or water)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (or water), salt, and pepper until well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

Heat the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Once the butter is melted and slightly foamy, pour in the egg mixture.

  3. 3

Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for about 30-60 seconds, until the edges begin to set. Then, gently push the cooked egg from the edges towards the center with a spatula, tilting the pan to allow uncooked egg to flow underneath.

  4. 4

Continue to gently fold and push the eggs until they are mostly set but still slightly moist. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the eggs and continue to cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the cheese is melted and the eggs are cooked to your desired consistency.

  5. 5

While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread in a toaster or under a broiler until golden brown. Remove the scrambled eggs from the heat immediately to prevent overcooking.

  6. 6

Serve the cheesy scrambled eggs hot alongside the toasted bread. You can add a spread of butter or jam to your toast if desired.
