Instructions
- 1
Cook the bacon: Place the bacon slices in a cold skillet over medium heat. Cook until crispy, turning occasionally. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.
- 2
Toast the bread: While the bacon is cooking or immediately after, toast the two slices of bread to your desired crispness. You can use a toaster or a pan.
- 3
Prepare the vegetables: Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into even rounds.
- 4
Assemble the sandwich: Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each toasted bread slice.
- 5
Layer the ingredients: On one slice of bread, arrange the lettuce leaves, followed by the tomato slices. Season the tomatoes lightly with salt and pepper. Top with the crispy bacon slices. Place the second slice of bread on top, mayonnaise-side down, to complete the sandwich. You can cut the sandwich in half diagonally for easier eating.
